MMarsh could definitely be a 6. Or even bat higher. Just needs things to click a bit. He's shown that he's clearly good enough at the level below to play as a specialist batsman.
This sounds a bit like me fooling myself every pre-season for the past 10 years thinking I just need to fix my grip to finally start scoring runs

Australian Ramprakash with the bat. Great one level down, can't step up.

If only he didn't run out of partners/a target to chase, Leach would probably have 500 runs this series.

His fastest delivery was 144km/hr too.

He came back pretty lame pace-wise after his injury and his few months playing as a specialist bat but his bowling seems to be back to where it was now.
Yeah. When fit he is much sharper than people think. Think said 144 ball was fairly wide, but his pace was definitely up almost all day

Jos :( Don't know why he was basically slogging though, no need to when Leach is solid at the other end, they should have just milked the runs.

Because any minute Leach could be gone and then the opportunities run out. Come on, it's fairly standard.

Smith batting with Siddle at Edgbaston wasn't a bad template for this situation.

Anyway, Broad at 11. Maybe he's wondering how it came to this.
