Geez Smith is ther least selfish beast of a batsman isn't he. He could have gone for an average increasing 50*(100) like Tugga would have but instead he selflessly plays hyper aggressively to avoid the red ink and scores his lowest score of the series.

To be fair, Root hasnt had a bad series with the Bat. He's had some scores but he's definitely a shell of himself....and definitely not captain material. Terrible on all fronts. The English seem to have a dearth of leaders or good test batsmen.

You only show up when it looks like England may lose the Ashes and use this to heavily criticize England players and their WC win. This is the Ashes thread so please piss off with WC garbage talk.

Oh, and of course you mention Kholi and imply that he is better than Smith (eg. "I don't think even Kholi will overtake this"). As if Kholi is even in the same ball park as this Smith masterclass

This is his greatest quality.

Watching the highlights, it seems like there's an element of booing still going on with Smith? Yet the same crowds worship at the altar of Stokes...dunno if it's a misinformation thing and these crowds don't actually know that Smith was not an active participant. Accuse me of anything ,but please don’t accuse me of being a Kohli fan. I’m a die hard Australia and a Steve Smith fan. I haven’t posted during the games because I actually watch the entire games. It’s funny as to how I’m always questioned regarding my Australian cricket fandom just because my nationality isn’t that. Disgusting. And then I have a mod accusing me of Nationalism lol when I’m not even Australian. It’s ok, you guys are too insular and incestual here at CW.
