4th Test at Old Trafford, Manchester

Depends what Australia set, I'd be interested to see them perhaps look at setting 370 with about 100 overs to get them, if the ghost of Headingley wasn't so close behind this might happen but I'd say Aus will look to bat England out of the game tonight and hope to run through them on day 5 like in the first test
Yeah this Test is so much more Edgbaston than it is Headingley.

Would have been advanced tactics from Wade had he hit that and feigned the DRS review to try and put England off reviewing themselves

Why do people assume every spike of noise is automatically from the bat or glove? Was miles way

If I was an Aus fan, I'd want them to wrap up the Ashes here. They don't want this to go down to a decider; just a hunch, but something about how the summer has played out for Eng would make me wary of a playoff.

Yeah it's a very admirable level of skulduggery haha. I'd like to believe it.

Yeah I'm in this boat. When you're away, when you get a chance, you must take it.

Smith isn’t just playing a different game, he’s on a different planet to every other player

More than just a batsman
He was something like a tide
More than just one man
He was half the side

Paine will be aware that two Headingley events in a row under his watch will define his career and be looked back on as a dreadful failure all round. It shouldn't happen because of the conditions making batting difficult but it will be in the back of his mind for sure, for better or worse

difficult to recall a worse aussie batting lineup (outside of one obvious exception of course)...even the dark rebuilding period under border was better than this, i think...
