Carbs was way better than the ones that followed. As was Compton to be fair but we had higher expectations back then.He never made a big score, but Carbs was ballsy AF against Johnson and Harris out here. I reckon he was the best non-Cook opener you’ve had since Strauss. Should have been persisted with and very sad he took ill
It hasn't swung much at all this season. It's these dry but soft pitches you can dig the ball into. That's why it's the cutters, sorry 'wobble seam balls' that have been getting the wickets. England have forgotten how to prepare a hard wicket. Plus these two batting lineups are absolute piss.I'm also beginning to think the Dukes ball is too bowler-friendly. (I'm aware this will be unpopular)
almost liked this post. good postSo England are 40/5 anyway as GIMH feared, without having had to bat yesterday.
College starts Monday. It's a town over so 40 minute commute either way and the course is tough too, I've heard. Why, where are you going?
Yep. Career ending sort of innings.Really, really bad way to get out having been in for as long as he had/had the luck he had.
It's crazy how much worse the standards have got. Even Robson would've probably gotten more of a crack of the whip with today's batting lineup.Carbs was way better than the ones that followed. As was Compton to be fair but we had higher expectations back then.
Cover drive is the worst shot in cricket.Really, really bad way to get out having been in for as long as he had/had the luck he had.
I’m hoping that 26 will be “beaten” at some stage of this series.England would be 8/30 if PSiddle was playing
look, I just don't think you're speaking without bias hereI know he retired a year ago, but Compton could probably do a job in this side.
