Genuinely feels like any time Bancroft spends at the crease is a bonus here. Bloke just does not have a Test standard technique.

I'm willing to say he probably has the most over-rated defensive technique of all-time. People think he looks solid and gritty when he's clearly not. I honestly think he probably has the worst technique of the 3 (him, Burns, Harris).

Yeah he was legit very good last series. Just had a problem with trying to smash Moeen out of the attack when set and ridiculous unplayable inswingers. Really should have gotten 400+ runs and two hundreds.

Bancroft is just insipid. I can't remember the last Australian top-order batsman who has looked so out of place at Test level.

Huh for some reason I remember he got high-300s. Point stands even more then, anyone who gets 400+ runs in those conditions is doing well.
