2nd Test, Lord's, London

Danger time this for Denly, playing nicely, trying to jump on anything loose (correctly so) and presumably feeling in after facing 30 odd balls. Keep concentrating Joe!!!

Listening to Lloyd describing the pitch preparation. Small wonder England can't bat overseas if that's their approach. A flat wicket can still be fast, but that's not the way to do it. Green or not, they're all uniformly slow these days.

Decision to bowl first really isn't looking great. Gotta love Root winning like a million tosses in a row and losing this one.

Bowling Haze into the ground will be a good approach.

And I take back my initial taking back of my assessment of the pitch. This is a flat deck.

See no justification for bowling first here. This is a pudding.
It’s a 4 day match on a wicket that traditionally gets flatter

Best chance of victory is to bowl opposition out cheaply in first innings

So Pattinson can't play because 9 days rest between tests is considered too risky, but Hazlewood first test back from injury they bowl him 8 overs straight, give him a couple of overs break, then switch ends for him lol
