And now they'll spend 10 minutes farting about with a ball replacement only for a declaration to come within 5 minutes. Cricket can be such an infuriating game at times. England will be loving it though.

England’s ODI team don’t play on day 5 pitches. 300 is ungettable.

The turn is slow enough / with potential rain to block out the day though.

This is what we should have done to Australia in our first innings. Just have an inability to put the foot down when we're on top.

They probably should have declared by now, but it's still pretty dispiriting.
That collapse we had was so important. The middle order has very rarely had that sort of platform in recent times as well. There is that dream of Buttler and Stokes destroying an opposition, maybe it will happen one day.

I know this, but England's ODI team doesn't get 90 overs to score 300. A balance of play styles could achieve great things. It's not impossible

The BULLSHIZzLE 65 over ball change to one hooping.

This was the biggest umpire mistake in the entire game.

He won't take any chances. There's always the risk that things don't go as planned, opposition finds itself at 220/2 at tea and then there's the fear that they may go into ODI mode.
Yep, can't forget about the WI Shai Hope double match

The problem with this non declaration is Australia wont get many overs with the 2nd new ball to knock over Englands middle order, they really would have wanted at least 25 overs with it guaranteed.

The 2 Pats playing some positive cricket. Showing lots of #intent. Defensive from Paine though.
