One game ago the internet decided it was win toss and bat to win the cup.

We love making up the rules as we go along, don't we?

Batting first is the right call, i just hope they have learnt from the AUS game and will pitch the ball up. Woakes mentioned it in an interview so hope they actually do it.

Not Terrible
It's been a hard World Cup for chasing. Though England would be the best at it. Unsure how I feel about it tbh. Hoping Guptill does a thing

NZ batting first. I think they should be favorite to lift the cup now (all matches on this ground have been won by teams batting first in this WC). England batsman to crumble under pressure while chasing for the glory.

Cloud supposed to be around all day so if there’s any advantage from the conditions hopefully we still get some as well.

But hopefully we make 350 and game over.

Kane's mantra has been "adapt to the conditions" so I'm more than happy to take the runs on the board approach. With a bit of luck we can patch together a decent total even if our openers fail again.

Ooh was that the right decision?
Yes, I reckon it was overall, even though not as clear cut as if it were a sunny day.

While it may be tough for the NZ top order against the new ball, batting first was always going to be England's strong suit.
