Cummins, Neser, Pattinson, Starc, Richardson, Siddle, Tremain, Hazlewood, Bird is the order I would bat the bowlers.
I think Bird has surpassed Hazlewood with his batting. Haze doesnt look like he puts much work into it.

Siddle and Tremain the only bats with first class 100s. I agree with your first 4. Richardson is probably next, but I need to see him bat a bit more regularly to be sure.

When you add NCN, Mennie, KRichardson, Copeland, Abbott there is a decent bunch of bowlers with international experience who can hold a bat.

Yeah since selectors stated Bird was dropped for his lack of batting ability he's done quite well. He even outscored Neser. Pattinson, Pucovski and Patterson in this last game :)

Okay, I was not too sure about Bird and Hazlewood.

None of the others are really in test match contention.

Lol, for a test fan only you seem to have no idea. Jhye RIchardson is very much a lock if he recovers from injury and Siddle is definitely looking to be 5th or 6th pace bowler in the squad

By others I meant the other bowlers NUFAN listed at the end of his post. So I was talking about Coulter Nile, Kane Richardson, Copeland, Mennie and Abbott. Do you really think any of them are going to play in the Ashes. I certainly do not think so.

Perhaps you need to read my recent post about the Ashes squad which clearly included Jhye Richardson depending on fitness. Siddle is certainly in contention for the Ashes squad but I would take Bird or Tremain ahead of him if Jhye Richardson does not make the squad.

So perhaps learn to read what was written instead of making a fool of yourself

It is looking more and more like the Ashes squad is going to be the XI who played in the last test match against Sri Lanka plus Smith, Warner, Carey, Pattinson, Hazlewood and Holland.

However if Richardson is not fit then another bowler needs to come in, Bird or Tremain for me but with Tremain not playing this match the former seems more likely.

Hazlewood might need some wickets in the match against England A but he was the most economical bowler in this match perhaps indicating he did not bowl badly.

Hollands wickets did him no harm but I think he was a certainty for the second spinner spot anyway. I just hope Lyon plays every test.

I'm no Labuschagne fan, but on what basis can you drop him? He's the incumbent and he's made a ton of runs this English summer.

Only because of no Smith/Warner, though. Plus the other middle order bats in the Sri Lanka series comfortably outbatted him, and it feels like Sophia Gardens has been a massive road this season (obviously no-one's performed to his level, but there's been some fairly uncredentialed batsmen doing quite well for Glamorgan too)

I don't know, maybe because we have a top 6 of Warner, Burns, Khawaja, Smith, Head, Patterson...with Harris playing and Burns to 3 if Khawaja still injured...

That is one option.

I would have Harris ahead of Burns but it is very close.

However Patterson or Labuschagne might be picked to play at 3. I would not play Labuschagne at 3 but it might happen.

If you believe Head and Patterson are better players. I certainly believe Patterson is a better player and Head probably is as well. Of course if Khawaja is injured Smith could come in for him and the other three hold their spots.

Labuschagne has done pretty much everything asked of him for Glamorgan. I still fundamentally believe Head and Patterson are better batsman but having him in the squad wouldn't be a bad call at all.

Just desperately hope Will Pucovski doesn't play, the kid will wear the baggy green one day but everyone should just be more patient. All this media hype around him Puc not doing any good at all, the next big thing tag historically more a curse than a blessing

Hows Labuschagnes bowling been in div 2?

Id consider him if there is another injury but he might as well still play county cricket.

On what basis, red hill? On the basis that two star incumbents are now available.

He's taken 16 wickets @ 40. So not terrible.
