Sports massage can reduce pain, and doing so provides more strength and flexibility. The science behind it is... not watertight. It might just be placebo, or otherwise purely psychological. Still worth doing though.right, but they're not doing any actual "treatment" are they? Like, if the guy is fine to continue, he's fine to continue, if not he's not - there's nothing the physio (or anyone - doctor, nurse, witch doctor whatever) can do in that situation.
The reason I said that is in reaction to the commentator saying re: Pandya's injury "if any man can fix it, it's that physio [can't remember the name]".
They might help with the rehab and making sure muscles heal well but I don't see an acute role.
