What happened to the pitch?
The thinking, I believe, is that every time England play well, it's because of the pitch/short boundaries/whatever. With a side of implying that the ICC pitches are made to order withing the last few days. So just the same crap he's been posting in every thread.

Made the case that Nicholls is a 5/6 and is better suited to maneuvering the ball at the end where Neesham and de Gradhomme's hitting is curtailed by the soft ball. They'd do better, in lieu of a proper opener, to get Neesham to try and hit fours while the ball is still hard at the top of the order.

Whoever replaces Macca as batting coach, I hope he addresses the strike rotation issue NZ have at the moment. Feels like the top order bats out waaay more dot balls than most of the other top sides.

If you're not going to score of the new ball, how do you expect to score when it's old.

Yeah, Woakes just plugging away back of a length on 4th/5th stump, and KW's just blocking everything. Would've really liked to see Guptill facing him and going down the pitch at it.

Maybe, although the teams you really want to beat this WC don’t have very hittable new ball bowling. Don’t think Neesham opening would do them much good here.

Not that Nicholls did them much good either.

Lighten up ****. No need to be so defensive over what was clearly a joke. But hey, being a smug prick is easier.

Kane's dab down to third man makes me a bit anxious. Perfect example of negative bias I suppose since he gets a lot of runs from it.
