I don’t recall being this angry about sports in a long ****ing time.

Idc if we got bowled out at 120 as long as we were trying to win.

Is fixing bad because of the money or because you are not trying to win?

What is the moral ****ing culpability here?
At the moment the Indian team seems to have conceded they've lost, and are just going through the motions. They'll explain it off by saying it's centre wicket practice for these guys, that they're forcing England to get overs into their legs and protecting the tailenders from facing the quicks and risking injury

But as fans this is pathetic to watch because we watch cricket to be entertained. Cricket exists to be entertaining. Such dull prgamatism holds no place here, especially when there is enough time left to give the fans some entertainment as they head towards the inevitable result.

But no. Players no longer play to entertain the fans. Cricket doesn't exist to entertain. It's a commercial venture, it exists to satisfy stakeholders, and players are paid professionals who have the big-picture interests of the organisation at their hearts.

MSD, the ultimate company man, clocking in another successful day at work where the results didn't go quite the way he would have liked, but the BCCI are satisfied, and the team exits the game in good shape and good spirits ready for the next big match

Ganguly's clearly pissed. Nasser's a bit scared to properly rip into them but gains confidence whenever Ganguly does and slips in a snide comment. Should just go all out.

This is Dhoni nothing else, he has been trying to gain NRR in lots of bilateral series as well - if that's what peole want to call it.
Yep. People are surprised as though this has never happened. But it has. Dhoni has this thing where once the game reaches a position where it gets to "very difficult but not impossible", he prioritizes reducing the margin of defeat instead of trying to actually pull off an impossible chase.

Seriosly, what ****ing difference does it make if you get all out for 20 more by blindly swinging? You aren't getting more than that by the current bullshit either.
Yea I am baffled too....Ganguly is criticising him and rightfully so

I, for one, stopped watching when Dhoni came in to bat, and am certain I was much better off for it.

See Morgan? Batting first works you dick no more of this winning toss and 'oh we'd like to chase please' nonsense especially now that every game is effectively a knock out game now.

And look, a six in the final over, once all risk of not giving the advertisers their air time has been averted. Company man MSD putting in another solid performance for Big Cricket Inc

A 35 ball fifty in an innings where you have never done anything to reduce the required run rate from the time you came in to bat is not something to feel proud of.

To have 5 wickets in hand in a run chase and to make no serious attempt to get the runs is laughable and tragic.

I know he got a century but that was not a great Rohit century,,,just ate up to many dot balls, yeah he pulled it as the innings progressed, but on this sort of pitch in this era you need to be able to rotate strike from pretty much ball one.
I thought he left India in decent shape. Big total and England were bowling well.

It's pathetic to watch, but these guys just aren't capable of chasing 12 an over over a period of 10 overs or whatever.

Good win. We need to find a better death bowler than Woakes but he has done well at the top last few games. Bairstow and Roy outstanding, made pitch look easier to hit on than it was.

You know - most of the time for the last few years It actually reaches that stage as well because of him.

No I disagree. If you think you’re going to lose anyway, try to hit every ball out of the pitch and hope for the 5% miracle win due to luck.

That is a zillion times better than this sort of pathetic spineless forfeit.
