Disappointing. I wanted India to knock England out and BD to qualify as a result.

Now England must lose to NZ, BD must beat India, and then must beat Pakistan. Tough
Yeah. BD journey might get over today most probably. It will be pity if Pak qualifies instead of BD as BD have been more consistent and better looking team in the tournament than Pak.

I know we're supposed to say that Dhoni hasn't made the decision to win this game, and if he had just decided to he would have been hitting India to victory. But is it so sacreligous to say that he's just not been good enough today to do that?

There's a lot more to scoring rate than changing the 'aggresion' slider like it's a cricket captain game.
don't think any reasonable indian fan expected dhoni to win it from the position he came in at. we already know he's not good enough to do that anymore. it's just that it would be nice if he gave the appearance of at least trying to win it. this applies to jadhav too.

Where do you bat Dhoni ? If he bats at 4 or 5, he will suck all momentum out of the innings leaving the guys who follow him with a herculean task. If he bats at 6, he will be scoring a bit above run a ball which will not be good enough. Probably get him to open leaving out KL **** Rahul and then have Karthick or some one else at 5.
****ing thank you

Wonder if Kohli will make the revolutionary move of perhaps dropping/resting Dhoni for the SL match and give Pant a go with the gloves.

He failed to help them with the Roy DRS which has played a huge role...if he does his job as a keeper , Roy goes and who knows what would happen post that. He's definitely not the sole reason why they lost this but eh.

@OS:

Really bad but this is next level ****** due to him being given a specific ****ing role with no ambiguity at all.

This was a poorly timed run chase right from the beginning but the last few overs have just been horrendous.

This has been AUS vs India in reverse but atleast AUS had something to gain from getting a high NRR considering the threat of rain in the future and the match being early in the tournament etc. What is this by India ?
This is Dhoni nothing else, he has been trying to gain NRR in lots of bilateral series as well - if that's what peole want to call it.

Seriosly, what ****ing difference does it make if you get all out for 20 more by blindly swinging? You aren't getting more than that by the current bullshit either.

Hmm

yeah on second thoughts there are times where I should've made this point but perhaps these last few overs haven't quite been it

I know he got a century but that was not a great Rohit century,,,just ate up to many dot balls, yeah he pulled it as the innings progressed, but on this sort of pitch in this era you need to be able to rotate strike from pretty much ball one.

Dhoni would rather remain not out at the end than get out in a blazing attempt.
