Not to harp on, but this is what happens when you have a bloke batting at 6 who strikes at 50.
Yeah Stoinis is the real problem. Marsh would have been a much better choice. He can whack 40(20) if necessary.

The real question is, did Finch and Warner bat really well or did everyone else bat really poorly?
There's truth in both areas I think. Smith didn't look 100% on his game, Maxwell played an appalling shot and Stoinis was awful. But the bowling has been solid and the pitch does have some demons.

Don't tell me he's pulled a hammy.

Yeah this should be the end of Stoinis. Ideally Wade should be there ahead of Carey too though Carey's been pretty solid for the most part.

Khawaja is a massive headache for Australia while Finch and Warner are doing so well. He can't realistically bat outside of the Top 3 but he's not a better option than any of Warner, Finch or Smith. I'd pick Marsh instead as he can at least go OK in a 2/200 situation.

Cummins is barely a #10 at ODI level.
I don’t see why he can’t just float. It’s handy to have a 2/40 bloke in your side and if it’s 2/200 why does he even need to bat at all? Suck it up princess.

Comms saying Starc feeling a hammy, but it looks to me like he adjusted his pad strap and Hussain got a bit excited

Yep. Been terrible all tourney

Reckon we’d have taken 280 at the toss but it will seem a disappointment.

Regardless of what happens from here, Carey has been good this WC.

It's genius Langer and his all-formats-count policy which means MMarsh gets dropped for poor test form when he's always been better at the short stuff. Plus a dire failure to realise that him and Stoinis are quite different batsmen.

This is the correct top 4. Carey has been ok this world cup so worth keeping him at 6/7 and surely for the spinner you have to go with Lyon after how poor Zampa has been, so that's No.11.

Honestly Carey has been batting way ahead of expectations this world cup. First time he's looked any good tbh.

Unfortunately if any Victorian (or someone who played for Victoria) had even three good games that makes them semi-secure for a long time.
