Sounds like he’s a bit out of nick, frankly. He was quite slow in the first game too.Sounds like mental problems as much as anything else.

Stonis has Western Australian blood in him and Maxwell doesnt thoLehmann isn’t coach and TPC isn’t skipper though
Very good point.Stonis has Western Australian blood in him and Maxwell doesnt tho
Finch and Maxwell did fine but Khawaja's innings wasn't good at all. The first part of the Smith Khawaja partnership was too slow and ballooned the required rate to unmanageable levels. We all like to crack criticisms and all, but scoring 316 in a chase like this is not at all easy. Finch, Smith, Khawaja, Maxwell, Carey all did superbly.
YepThat Pandya drop was the game, sadly. And the runout.
In hindsight, all of you will be praising Warner and Smith's innings in this game as it ensured a 300+ total for Australia thus boosting the NRR. Will be crucial for semifinal chances. If it was a strategic move by Australia, I would say it's a great strategy.I think Warner and Smith merit equal culpability. Warner was completely off sorts and when aggressive batsmen go into a shell they can really look bad. The chief issue with Smith was that how he dealt with the fifth bowler during the middle overs, despite knowing Bumrah was being saved for death overs. Ultimately used up around 3 or 4 overs of the 5th bowler and contributed around 20 or 22 runs. That is just not good enough. The two ensured Australia were down and out by the 25th over.
Yeah the only time I felt there might be squeaky bums for India was when TPC and Maxwell were in. Maxwell was teeing off and Smith was going a run. Ball to feed him the strike. Once Smith went it was done. It's the sort of game that looks kind of close on paper but really wasn't, but I do wonder if we win had Pandya not been dropped. Dhoni hitting out did help, but one wonders whether he'd have gone into his shell after two quick wickets.
Warner's innings one for the Crap Innings Hall of Fame 2019. Very frustrating he was striking so low and felt like every shot he played went straight to the fielder.
Ultimately though the damage was done when we conceded 350. Any side would struggle with that, barring maybe England.
They could have got the points if Warner had batted a bit faster. This wasnt some impossible chase where you try to protect your nrr.In hindsight, all of you will be praising Warner and Smith's innings in this game as it ensured a 300+ total for Australia thus boosting the NRR.
