Australia's best bet to win was either to bat first or take wickets early. Neither have happened and India look set to make 350. That's going to be hard for any side to chase.

Im pretty happy that Starc is bowling 7 of the final 30 overs tbh.

He's bowled 4 now so that's 6 off the last 30

I don't see him being effective unless he's bowling at our middle order. if the Top 3 are still batting by then, then they'll just milk him and hammer the rest. His overs will have been wasted.

Should have been using Cummins and Starc to get into the middle order ASAP rather than saving overs for the death IMO.

My view before the world cup was that this needed to be strongly considered (although if they went with Handscomb with the gloves I would have gone with, I can't believe I'm saying it, Forkers Faulkner) and having neither of them in the squad gave them almost no flexibility to change things up during the WC (which honestly could be a good thing in some circumstances)
