Brathwaite and Nurse are both decent sloggers. They bat to 9.Windies need to these two to take this deep, their depth in batting isn't the best let alone with Russell probably not being able to bat.
Shai Hope certainly thinks so. He's got a Bruce Edgar strike rate from the era going on.The Australians are asleep, it seems.
****ing Smith, wasted a lot of balls for nothing. Root is clearly his superior by some distance. It's not 1985.
Yea I have feeling thats why Maxwell was brought on before Zampa. Maxwell (as useless as his bowling seems and often is) tends to dry up runs. Frustrate the batsmen and let them take a risk with zampa. It has worked well with getting Pooran out.WI only hope is to keep their RR above 5 regardless of wickets.
This is skewed since Win predictor takes the aggregate of the last few games. Could be wrong , please feel free to correct me. Last few games at Trent Bridge are pretty high scoring hence 289 may seem an average score.Win predictor 54% to Aus? I'd say it's more like 80% Aus
Yeah, the current RR isn't bad at all from a West Indies POV. Was very slow to begin with but Pooran covered for him at the time. Doesn't look like the easiest pitch to come in and hit the ground running, so I don't see the Windies winning without him making a substantial score.Hope may be slowing the game down a bit but reckon he can afford to. If it gets to the last ten overs with 100 with Russel still in/to come they are in a good position considering it's a fairly difficult chase. The alternative might be for him to be exposed too early. They can only afford one more wicket max before the last stages of the game. Should be interesting
