Ball was clearing pitching outside leg and there's no way the umpire could say for sure it pitched in line when it didn't. It's like a LBW in which the ball hit the pads and the umpire thinks it's going on to hit the stumps. The ball being 50/50 pitching outside leg should be given to the batsman.
