I agree, and second choice bowlers in nondescript ODIs is among the biggest reasons for inflated par scores in the first place. If this were a world cup semi final, 297 would be a damn solid total.

As is I think England should chase it. But they are a bit light on their cake with Root and Morgan missing. The batting lineup they're fielding today is good, but mostly chocolate flake.

Yeah, we look a bit lightweight against a decent attack without Root and Morgan. The could do it of course, but you can also see them being dismissed for 150.
