Nah.

"Inzamam" is listed as a boy's name (as in a first/given name or "Christian" (in the western world) sense) everywhere on-line, and Ul Haq is listed as a "surname" meaning "the truth".

Inzamam-ul-Haq uses both "I" and "U". "Inzamam Ul Haq" (as one word) is not his surname or family name.
Sorry test fan but this seems to be pretty conclusive evidence.

Inzy will have to count as an I and a U

Red Hill's post is irrelevant, the rules are that cricinfo name is what is used, cricinfo has it as a hyphenated name so it is one name. Just because Inzamam can be a first name and ul Haq can be a surname does not mean they are in this case. Even if in reality it is a first name and surname, the rules still bind the draft to use whatever cricinfo lists even if it is wrong.

mr_mister,

This time I am really done. you made a decision and then changed your mind after Red Hill posted to cause trouble like he did earlier in the thread and you changed your mind. I have quite clearly refuted Red Hill's nonsense but you are just ignoring it. You cannot change the rules half way through, it is just not fair. The rules says it is the cricinfo way of writing the name that will be used, but you are now ignoring that.

Anyway for what it is worth here is the two teams I mentioned making earlier in the draft.

Gordon Greenidge
Jack Hobbs
Rahul Dravid
Colin Cowdrey
Inzamin-Ul-Haq
Steve Smith
Alan Knott
Malcolm Marshall
Peter Pollock
Waqar Younis
Bill O'Reilly

Len Hutton
Roy Fredricks
Denis Compton
Sachin Tendulkar
Eddie Paynter
Norm O'Neill
Imran Khan
Mark Boucher
Joel Garner
Waqar Younis
Abdul Qadir

And I wanted the U available to pick Polly Umrigar if I felt the need.

It was a disagreement over a drafting technicality ffs. Stop assuming malice where there is none.
He insulted me earlier in the thread which caused me to put them on the ignore list but that did not stop them posting nonsense to get mr_mister to change their mind. Terrible behaviour.

Ease up. Red Hill has been in literally dozens of drafts without a problem. He was just giving his opinion on a grey area without anything personal. And we just need to respect the Draft manager (mister) and his decisions too, as happens 99% of the time, since he has gone to the effort of coming up with the idea and organising the Draft for our enjoyment

Let's please get on with the picks.

In case it wasn't clear, that was a moderator instruction.

Time for everyone to move on. Next post on the matter gets 8 points.
