As well as Khawaja has played this series, still unconvinced by his strike rate and loss of momentum.

Only scored 17 off his last 30 deliveries; when you're set in modern ODIs is you shouldn't let that happen.

But he's a cert for the WC squad now so Oz have got to hope he can go that extra step.

Wonder if Stoinis can play a knock to match his level of swagger.

Actually, scratch that. Nothing matches Stoinis' unwarranted swagger.

I agree actually. I think Khawaja has always had a problem with turning over the strike. He deals in boundaries and that means he can get bogged down at any stage. Still, he's probably our second best opener right now behind Warner.

His swagger is quite something considering his W/L ratio would be prob the worst for any Oz player who's played at least 20 matches.

Bloke's a legitimate great. Keep this up and he'll be amongst the best we've ever seen. McG was clinical genius, perfect bloke to lead an already great team. Cummins is heroic, put him in any team weak or strong and he'll give them legs and any oppo, at worst, a scare.
When do we all admit the blokes who held him back at the slightest sign of any niggle after his dayboo, and who stopped him bowling at all for a season or two at various times, were actually right?

Yep, the sports scientists got this one right.

A lot of people here thought so all along tbf. Generally CW is much more willing than the general public to take what sports scientists say at face value.

I didn't see Turner's knock the other night and haven't watched much of him before. The bloke is obviously in rare form, but fmd he just looks complete class. Hope he gets an extended crack at a middle order slot over the next few years. Looks very impressive.

Yeah ****ing awful. Credit to the bowlers, but there's been some brain dead batting. Starting with Khawaja tbh

Damn.. these two have taken Australia to relative comfort. Thought we were in business when the 7th wicket went down. This might be a good score on this pitch.

Pmsl at the side on replay of Cummins dismissal there with Bumrah in the background on the boundary with his hands on hips not even moving.
