Interesting that the game could have gone on if the Heat agreed to it, instead of the umpires deciding. I thought this was why teams don't get offered the light anymore

In other news, Cameron Green has gone down with back problems again. Real shame as I was looking forward to seeing more of him when the Shield resumes

Apparently the Thunder are planning to appeal the result. I know emotions are probably still a bit high but if they expect to be awarded 2 points and the Heat to get docked their points they're dreaming.

It sucks that the Heat were on the lucky side of a rain affected result last game but cmon.
Yeah I don't see an appeal working. It was probably a transformer on the street that blew or something like that.

Can people imagine the outcry if a fielder lost the ball and got sconned?

Still it's quite unfortunate and the thunder can rightly feel hard done by.

The Heat's batting has been disappointing this season and our bowling is rubbish without Pattinson (which is hardly a new thing).

If he was in training you'd hope he could bowl a few, but even if he was available as a batsman alone, he would currently walk in.
Problem is when he used to play, reviews got topped up after 80 overs (and the Australian line-up regularly batted that long to get them back).

Don't be so sure. Maxwell should currently walk in but see how that's turned out.

Definitely dreaming. They do deserve the points though.

What in the name of all that's holy convinced Hobart to pick Moody?

The standard has been poor enough this year that you'd expect him to find his feet by the end of the tournament and have made one or two decent contributions
The standard can't be poor without rubbish play, MMarsh has been part of that.

He's benefit (reputationally) from now that you retain a review on umpire's call. Memeworthy as his reviewing was, I can't remember him reviewing many that turned out to be 3 reds

Don’t forget how bad he actually was with them

Yeah he definitely did. Reviewed plenty of absolutely plumb ones.

Pretty weird scheduling having the Bash game on straight after the deciding ODI.

Was a weird game too.
