They’ve both been woeful. Marsh is older but Khawaja the more established, senior pro in a cricketing sense, and the only good thing he’s done this series was catching Kohli in the gully in Adelaide.

They both need to pay the price for the worst performance in Australian cricket history. One at which they’ve been in up to their long, long necks.
Uzi has been disappointing for sure. Darsh is just being mediocre like always. What’s frustrating is they will can Uzi before Darsh and he has had more chances than any other bat I can remember. Imagine if they had given Maxi the same level of chances and support. Or Burns, or Renshaw or any number of guys not deemed to have the right lineage or potential.

Before inundation by t20 games, I cared about pretty much all ODIs except against minnows. All teams sent full strength teams to play what are retrospectively, and might I say smugly, referred to as JAMODIs here. In one of those tours to Pakistan in mid 00s, I would consider it an even result if we lost test series but won ODIs.

T20s spoiled limited over cricket completely.

I'd say that Rohit Sharma's 264 completely demolished the value of an ODI century, which used be rare and a big achievement in 2000s, many fans would talk about it for days as well. Not denying that Rohit Sharma has an insane talent.

It's shocking to me that the 79 by Harris is the highest score by an Australian batsman all series.
Beautiful stat, considering the fact that in the past Clarke could have easily broken Lara's record against us and Smith tonked our bowlers both home and away.

Okay we have First Test highlights now in the UK. India are 80/5 in the first dig and look all at sea... what happened?!

I don’t think I followed this test in particular detail. Probably due to school term time rather than holidays.

Aaron Finch made a spectacular impression with the bat, didn’t he?

'Match delayed by drizzle and bad light' as per cricinfo. Very much fits the atmosphere of Sydney as a place in general.

What's going on with the Aussies? Two blokes missing and the line up looks so brittle. Surely the Aussie domestic cricket is strong enough to produce players that are good enough I thought. There was once a thought that Aussie domestic cricket is the strongest in the world but doubt that now that they can't replace two players. What's going on? Just guessing here, has the popularity of BBL caused this?

That's why it gets the last (usually dead) test.
Like letting the slow student give a presentation at school. Means nothing, but let them feel included
