Fast and bouncy, yes. The seaming monsters that they ended up with were specifically against instructions. They were trying to create the pitches from this series. Which are fine from a cricket POV and good from an RSA one

From what I read, Mickey did agree that it is a fair wicket: "With South Africa whenever you play a team from the sub-continent, you will always ask for a little bit of bounce and pace. I think both wickets have been very weighted in favour of the bowlers and obviously its homeground advantage so its fair"

Yeah they all played together.... but KP's attitude, and manner he treated SA cricket along with Smiths belligerence and pride... alpha male having to deal with a beta male trying to one up him. Not to sure about friendly as so such much polite respect. But really not sure...

That was the point... the pitches had slowed down a bit, more tennis ball bounce, particularly for highveld. In trying to get life back into the pitch overcooked it. Getting it right now though.

I could definitely see why KP could remain friends with your average player but not with Smith though.

And yeah this pitch has been awesome. I initially thought the toss might have too much of an influence, but despite the scorecard possibly suggesting it has to people who haven't watched, it hasn't changed much in character yet at all.
