I think the only hope for Australia here is to scrape past the follow on, then hope Kohli is coaxed into a sporting declaration.
I actually think Australia should attack here and try and go at 4 rpo to make a game of it. Otherwise why even turn up on this wicket.

Funny thing is you never know when you go from enjoying the joke to becoming one. The WI provided us with a template for terminal decline that I think Australia are exhibiting. Symptoms shown by SA too. You don’t know for sure which teams have the resilience to come back. I’m hoping Australia can as long we get our administration right. I don’t want to be seen advocating wholesale sackings but I think the purge of those involved in the direction of Australian cricket the last 5 or so years needs to continue.
Comparing WI and Aus cricket, ignores all other realities in those countries. Aus is not gonna go the way of WI. Hyperbole. Aus having a tough time, they will be back.

yup. And Indian cricket still has a ton of problems, we just aren't talking about them now because we're en route to smash Australia 3-1 in Australia.
Yes. Rahul and Rahane ( and to a lesser degree no. 6) are big problems. I hope they do not go unnoticed in the euphoria of a historic series win.

Virtually every member of the top 6 is playing for their career

Expecting them to attack is unrealistic

Don’t get this. India’s Best chance was always here even before sandpaper gate
India's bowlers traditionally do much better in SA and England than in Australia and those two lineups looked super fragile as well. Those series were massive missed opportunities.

Bumrah has changed things completely. Never thought we'd have a bowler who'd dominate on Australian decks.

Harris has a lot of work to do on his approach to short pitch bowling. No wonder Langer doesn't even rate him.

Don’t make any presumptions based on nationalities. Our rugby team shows us otherwise and long term decline can happen here just as surely as in another country. Even so there can be shared symptoms that I’d worry about if I saw in my team or anyone else’s including SA.

I think it's a good call to pick 2 spinners on a roady mcroady road. They can do the bulk of the bowling and we don't have to break our fast bowlers. Got Vihari to bowl some overs too.

OMG Pant. He'll hammer us 150s but he'll drop those in exchange for that.
