He seems to have improved tremendously since his last stint in the team. He's really plundered runs for Pakistan A lately and he looked really solid in the first Test too.

Bonus points for bowling much better medium pace than I expected from someone with so many First Class games and so little bowling, too.

He just looks composed, unflustered and patient in waiting for the ball in his areas, ones on the hips in this innings that he can just nudge away to long leg. Determined and giving Pakistan some defiance in defence.
