Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

Henry is rapid. Yeah had thought Ferguson but I've only seen him in t20 where lots of bowlers seem to be able to get it up there for a couple overs. Looking forward to seeing if he can do it over a longer spell. Does he bowl as quick in county and one day stuff?
Can't agree, Henry is brisk but isn't express by any means. Usually mid to high 130s most of the time I have seen him.

I couldn't locate the thread from a few weeks ago - though i notice Sehwag got MOM vs England in the Chennai 2008 test for his 9 & 83 despite Strauss scoring 123 & 108.

Not doubting that's what you've seen of him just surprised as I always though of him as very quick but without much control.

I just seen him for kent this year in the royal London and the blast, when ever they were on tv he was above 90. One spell he was seriously quick like 93/94. Sure the only tests I've seen him play he's been nz quickest on the day too.

Currently is this the highest amount of genuine fast 90+ bowlers in the game as there has been for a long time?

I don't mean 90 every ball but bowlers who are able to bowl spells averaging between 89 - 91 or higher

Starc
Cummins
Haze
Pattinson??

Steyn
Rabada
Morris

Bumrah
Yadav
Shami

Chameera
Kumara

Henry

Amir
Wahab

Gabriel

Wood?

Others who also can but aren't on the test scene morkel archer mills and a couple saffas who play kolpak in england
You are being very generous with the speeds of a lot of those bowlers. Hazlewood, Morris, all the Indians, now that I look of it most of those bowlers I wouldn't really consider particularly quick.

Starc & Rabada are about it tbh. Steyn hasn't really been playing much or bowling that quick has he? Pattinson barely plays. Most of the rest are barely pushing 140kph. May be you've set the standards for quick pretty low, in which case I don't think the current crop are any quicker than at any stage over the last 20-30 years.

Yeah I'm not talking about starc quick where every ball is 90 (145)+, just I was thinking there must be more going around now who if needed are capable of bowling a spell averaging between 143-150 than there has been for a while.
Especially with India producing 3 and Sri Lanka 2

So my wife has been having me followed by a PI and she confronted me this morning calling me a "philanderer"

I laughed in her face because her PI is clearly incompetent, I haven't faked an injury to avoid bowling on a flat pitch in my life

Was just doing a bit of important research for the upcoming Sheffield shield draft and I found out Scott Muller made his shield debut in 1991. I always thought he was some young rookie. It makes no sense that Shane Warne wouldn't already be aware of Muller's bowling and throwing ability.

Makes Joe the cameraman even more guilty
