Shafiq has been a huge disappointment over the last couple of years. Pakistan's Rahane, almost, since he's showed flashes of enormous promise overseas. Plays some excellent knocks from time to time but hasn't shown any extended period of consistency. Dude is 33 as well, he shouldn't be irreplaceable.

Was Pakistans best batsman of their abysmal 0-3 thrashing a few years ago. Doesn't even look half the player now.

Sarfraz is a good cricketer but the amount of cricket he plays is staggering. Every other international side has a reserve keeper in their XI, but I don't think Pakistan do. Got to take its toll sometimes

Yeah Shafiq needs to take on more responsibility. Hides down low and gets out doing dumb ****.

Ten for the noob. Great display of fast bowling here. Shows you why it is the supreme skill in cricket.

Does Rizwan have test potential ? He seems to have been around for ever in the set-up.

Remember Babar playing 2 u19 CWCs and there was always batsman with big hope but noticed in recent u19 CWCs there hasn't been any.
Not sure tbh. I don't think they will make any changes for the next test bar bringing back Abbas.

And yeah Shafiq is the poor mans Rahane, has a knack of playing a gun innings when under pressure and then underwhelming for ages afterwards.

I'd expect one big innings probably when the game is gone this series and 5 flops.

Has batted up the order with mixed results. Got a century in England and then a string of low scores. Story of his career really.
