Wicketkeeper placement, how does it work? Because I reckon if Pant was a step or two to his left instead of being directly in line behind Harris he would have instinctively gone for it.

When the ball pitches where it has, I'm not sure you can expect the keeper to then get that far back across, he has to start thinking it could continue going down the leg side. I'm more inclined to think first slip perhaps should have been further across in the first place.

The amazing thing about this series so far is Arun finch is batting One for Australia and yet our openers have been better than yours.

Keeper didn't really need to go that far back across at all.

Before helmets, he might have just died right there....

(of course, techniques were different then too, so he wouldn't have looked away at the last moment like he did here)

Seven’s commentators have done more technical analysis of the game this session than Nine’s did every summer. Ponting on batting is so good to listen to.

It’s a strange one because every batsman is taught to watch the ball and natural instinct must be to try and avoid it

However, you see lots of guys getting hit in the forehead nowadays

Can’t believe that they’re thinking “she’ll be right because I’ve got a lid on” so it’s simply a case of not watching the ball

Come on Finch. Ffs it’s a finger. TOTAB made 196 at Lord’s with a broken thumb. Clarke made a ton with a broken shoulder blade.

Ffs that’s ordinary.

The anti-Cooper Cronk. Wouldn't even betray his mates for love I bet.
