We were always at risk of losing a game to the difference in application by the tail of 2 teams. This one will be it. **** selection game after game.

Ive been told that the soft signal is only given when the umpire is certain. That is, assuming tech wasn't available, would the umpire give it out. So if there is any doubt with the onfield umpire, he should give a not out soft signal.

Not saying that this particular incident was correct -i haven't seen it- but that's how the soft signal is meant to work.
