We've honestly batted out of our skins here barring the openers and are still just 163. Great contest as opposed to yesterday which was more or less just all round mediocrity.

Cummins v Kohli the highlight for me, followed shortly by Rahane's knock.

He has a way with words does Gideon,

"... compared to the WACA it has all the atmosphere of an aircraft hangar, all the history of a 7-Eleven, and its largely deserted terraces yesterday featured more shades of grey than a novel by Graham Greene."

Damn Cummins Vs Kohli has been awesome. Kohli won that battle but so glad Cummins is still trying to get him out every ball

That went way better than it had any right to after 8/2. Quality batting by these two. Still need both of them to ton up imo.

Australia bowled really well for the most part I thought, pitch seemed to settle sometime late in the second session. No real snorters since then.

Has to be one of the highest quality days of cricket in a long time.

Near perfect batting from India. Australia I thought still bowled very well, but it doesn't seem to have that much uneven bounce yet and Kohli in particular was near perfection.

Yep, great last session. Aussies bowled some tough stuff but the Indians batted really well. Set up for a cracker tomorrow. Super series so far.

Very impressive from the Batsman, I would have guessed 172 all out to be far more likely than 172/3. Great bowling by the Aussies too.

It's great to see everyone so positive about today's play! I logged in literally just to comment on how gripping the cricket was today.
