I don't get umpires who get bullied by the fielding team. Just shut out their bellicosity and go with what you actually saw and heard. I've been actually abused lots of times for not giving fairly obviously not-out decisions, the strength of the appeal has little to do with the correctness of the decision.

It would be nice if they gave us a replay that showed that it was out just to lay this to rest but they seem to use the cameras for fishing for shots in the crowd rather than watching the game.
I'd seen three replays before I was sure he didn't glove it. I'm not buying that he was bullied; that was a tough call (unlike all the no-balls..) and he just got it wrong IMO.

Honestly that was a poor non review but it was a terrible decision. Bullied by the Indian players.

Tbf we don't even know whether it was the incorrect decision or not. The replays are kinda inconclusive.

Dropped, but I can imagine with that stroke play another chance will come along.

I thought Finch might be the one person who could disrupt Ashwin. We know he'll start trying stupid stuff if things are going against him.

This talk is reminding me how much I despise umpiring. In low grades bogans abuse the **** out of you every time you don't give something out

In comparison:

Keep in mind that that list doesn't even include Hayden, Law, Love, di Venuto, Cox and Maher (and possibly others I'm forgetting).

All of those guys would probably be our best batsman at this point.
Yup, those were the glory days for Aust when you basically needed to average 50+ with a minimum of 20 FC hundreds even to get a look in, and you'd still likely not find a spot.

Forward 20 years later you get Marcus Harris who averages 35 in FC cricket with just 9 hundred. Says it all really.

I'd have said that we were batting 4th innings on a turning track when both sides had struggled to get past 250.
Ya, turn would do some good. À whole of turn would be needed to be confident Ashwin could shred AUS for under 200.

Or any other offie for that matter. Excluding Lyon, I can't remember seeing an offie rip a side apart. When did thiis last happen?

Even though India will be kicking themselves for losing 4-4 at the end and pushing it beyond Aust, 323 is still plenty IMO. I was suggesting 275 might be par last night.

Good to see Rahane back in the runs. How'd he look?

Gonna have to pull you up here. Certain know-it-alls know that bowlers actually have eyes on the bottom of their feet and know where they are at all times (despite strong evidence to the contrary) and should be able to control their position to within a centimetre.
Actually, you're right. I used to always watch where my front foot landed. I could never work out why I kept bowling it so short it would hit me in the face.

Here. Helps not to live in cricketing fantasy land.

Excellent apart from the dismissal.

You'd have though our batsmen would get the hint after the 1st innings.

There really is nothing wrong with only scoring on the leg side if you need to.
