I think Lillee should be upgraded. Not sure about pulling Imran down a notch. Imran at one point was one of the quickest going around, if not the quickest I believe.

By all accounts Lillee was a tearaway quick in his early years.

McGrath should be alongside Davidson IMO. McGrath, Hadlee and Ambrose would be a pretty well rounded and mean attack.

True, but 77 to 82 is probably still faster than Alec Bedser. I'm old enough to remember Angus Fraser bowling at his peak in the mid 1990s and he was consistently timed in the mid 70s. Alec Bedser personally told our esteemed friend Fredfertang that he wasn't as fast as Gus.

I think Davidson and McGrath are somewhere between Bedser and Ambrose. That's my perception anyway. Mid career Botham fits in that grouping too arguably. Pollock also.

McGrath was pretty pacey when he first started out, was definitely not slow when he made his NSW debut. Although granted they did have Holdsworth at the other end, he was arguably as quick and hostile as anyone on the planet at that stage.
