That was the alpha pull.

Feast your eyes and cream your pants, it's test cricket like you've never seen it before.

Lmao Nohit

Really wouldn't mind an ODI style 100 at this point. He'll probably get out doing something dumb in the 30s tho.

The batsmen need to have runs taken off their scores for all their time wasting. Watching the Bang vs WI match even when the spinners were bowling they weren't making 15 an hours because the bowler was spending five minutes at the end of their run while the guy on strike fiddled with his bat handle.

Law 41.10 and it would be 5 penalty runs to the fielding side, not runs off the batting side

I have seen Sharma batter some world class bowling attacks of the years he could do that in test cricket if he focus

Getting convinced about India's batting frailty away from home now. Even though they failed in SA and Eng I put that down to challenging pitches and thought they'd be alright on our flat decks. Maybe they are just crap at batting away. Anyway they could still recover. Even though he's out India should always be a chance of big score in this series because they have Kohli.

... Just imagine if they had to do without him and say Pujara as well as Shaw. (Just leaving that comment as a trap to see if I can catch any cretins that don't understand analogies. Its about 2am in England now. I'll come back in a few hours to see if I've trapped anything).

Sharma looked very bad when the ball was pitched up. But that pull off that slightly- too- low bouncer was simply glorious.

TBF this lineup is just crap at batting in general. Even at home their performances get papered over by how good our spinners are + Jadeja and Ashwin scoring runs.

No one in this lineup has a stellar career record outside of Kohli, and they all have glaring flaws in their games.

I thought the pitch had a bit in it early tbh. Did a bit off the seam and was nothing like old Adelaide pancake sort of stuff.

Could hardly have bowled better. True the wickets mostly came from Indian negligence but the pressure built was largely superb. Loose deliveries were largely rare and in a few cases somewhat tactical.
