I really think we should've gone with the extra bowler in Bhuvi. Australia bat deep and taking 20 wickets with four bowlers in the sort of conditions we're likely to see is going to be a tough ask, especially with a spinner who's having injury issues.

Cummins and Starc have a huge role with the bat this time. India surely have PTSD from that tour of England.

I think Australia's bowling being sooo much better than their batting has actually affected the selection decisions of both sides, and if so I can't really argue with the rationale. It's more likely India will 80/4 with the bat than chasing leather for a day and a half I think, even taking into account the Roady McRoads.

Expect Cummins to be the player of the series. How many troll lower order runs will India see this time? Can't wait Ashwin to fail terribly.

He’s been pretty good the last two years or so and he’s their most experienced pacer. I think he’ll actually do well if he bowls the right length - he has a style and trajectory that’s more likely to work here than the skiddier blokes - hits the deck and gets a bit of bounce. What sort of pace does he hit these days?
Saw nothing in England to suggest he’s bowling particularly well. 5-for at Birmingham was good, though.

Reckon Shami is going to spring a surprise, especially if he gets many overs from the Torrens end.

Well I think the gambhiring is all done. Those picking Australia are overestimating our top order’s ability to make runs at home. They are really unproven apart from Khawaja. Another thing to remember is that if they have made runs it has been in a team present with true champions Warner and Smith. In other words beta runs. Im not sure they can even reproduce that form when they have to step up and assume the responsibilities of the banned 3, but especially the 2 mentioned.

India won't get a better chance to defeat Australia in Australia in series but then they also messed it up against England
