Way out-bowling Doggshite in the A-series in India (after the odi series) should have been a better indication than net bowling.

Also I can't help but notice that Siddle gets picked on English domestic season form but that is never trotted out as a point in support of Renshaw.
Renshaw has gotten boned three times now by Justin Langer.

Twice by Langer's suggestion that early season shield runs are the only thing that's important and in between them by suggesting that 3 months is too much time between matches, despite the fact that minor injury was all that prevented him from playing.

Face it, Langer is just protecting Bancroft's spot.

I mean Renshaw's form has been a little down but it's only been 3 matches and he's still hit an important 89 in that time. And it's not like he's been getting out playing stupid shots the majority of the time. He's been getting out to good balls, which happens to openers.

Watch him score a thousand runs for the rest of this shield season.

I begrudgingly get the reasoning for changing scores for ODI's in rain affected matches. But I wonder if it is still applicable for 20/20. There is no building an innings in this game, you go out and blast away from the get go. Should they implement adjusted targets for 20/20? I feel India were hard done by last night. That said....Ha Ha!

I don't know about that tbh. When the rain came there were two set batsmen who'd put on 80 odd and had four overs to make merry with wickets in hand. I know Kumar and the bloke with the under ten division three action are meant to be good T20 bowlers, but let's be honest, if you come out here relying on 130-135kph bowlers, you're going to get bent over nine times out of ten in all three formats.

The data suggests otherwise. There is 'building an innings' in T20 - scoring at 8 rpo in stead of 12 is building an innings. DLS is based on data.

I just now that this Harris bloke will fill his boots against us. We touch Australian shores and crap ourselves. Time honoured tradition.

Yes, this. Australia will celebrate a false dawn only to be demolished the next time they play England or SA.

Why Siddle and not Jye Richardson?
Oh boy?
Its probably just a case of the selectors wanting an experienced pace bowler along with Tremain rather than 2 inexperienced (at international level) outside the desired XI.

Also, they probably want Jhye playing as much as possible, although this goes against what is currently happening with Ashton Agar.

Im curious to see how often Harris gets caight between keeper and point. He is obviously in great form but thats the mode of dismissal I expect

So longer term, are we looking at a #JLXI of:

1. Warner
2. Harris
3. Khawaja
4. Smith
5. Marsh
6. Bancroft +
7. Marsh
8. Cummins
9. Starc
10. Hazlewood
11. Lyon

--

20,237,431. Dan
20,237,432. Renshaw

or something?

JL XI:

Bancroft
Harris
Khawaja
Smith
Warner
M Marsh
Paine
Cummins
Starc
Lyon
Hazlewood

They've already flagged the possibility of Warner moving to the middle order. Shaun Marsh is 35 so he won't last long. Unless Langer simply leaves it Warner for being a **** bloke.

I'd approve of that as we are just one Marsh away from freedom. Shaun and Mitch should be called tea party and trump because australia needs to drain the swamp.

Assuming the Indian bowlers can make an edge carry that far.
