yeah...as if a new coach is going to make them relevant again...i never really considered lue as a world class coach, lebron made him and the team look good, period.Tyron Lue has been sacked. Poor man.
I really like both Saric and RoCo but they're basically role players in a contender and are highly unlikely to ever be good enough to be part of a starting rotation that wins a titleIt's a trade they needed to do yeah but it's gonna be a real struggle for Brown to get those three playing in a way they can win in the playoffs. Covington was their second best shooter and Saric maybe their third? (though he's been ass this season). They need to move Fultz+Picks for a good player who can shoot off the ball before he loses all of his value.
Nah, they'll only have about 20-22m, which is still a lot of money but not a max slot. Could get them a very good player though.Sixers will definitely be a contender to make the ECF but next year is probably when they can make real noise as they potentially have room for another near max player
Saric I agree but Covington is probably the best help defender in the league and is a 35%+ shooter from deep. Plus he's only making 10m a year for the next three(!) years, he's definitely good enough to be the second wing on a title winning team. He would've been the third best starter on the Cavs team that beat the 73-9 Warriors, for instance. That said he did have a horrible playoffs last year, but missing shots can happen to anyone.I really like both Saric and RoCo but they're basically role players in a contender and are highly unlikely to ever be good enough to be part of a starting rotation that wins a title
If they trade Fultz for picks (probably all that he's worth atm), it goes to 30mNah, they'll only have about 20-22m, which is still a lot of money but not a max slot. Could get them a very good player though.

But it's not really about that, it's about spacing the floor to create room for Simmons, Embiid and now Butler, who all do their damage inside the arc. Playing all three of them together is going to cause huge spacing issues which they now absolutely now need to address by trading assets.
Funnily enough, this makes that story in the off-season about them not wanting to include Fultz in a Kawhi deal a little ridiculous.Hopefully it's not true as it makes Brand look like a bit of a dickhead.
They shouldve traded Fultz already tbh. Dude just double pumped a free throw. Every game he plays his trade value plummets. It's a trade they needed to do yeah but it's gonna be a real struggle for Brown to get those three playing in a way they can win in the playoffs.
