I really don't see it with Marsh. When he hits drives yes he looks good. But with other shots he really isn't that convincing or at least he doesn't pass the eye test

Having said that I just watched his maiden ton on YouTube. I remember feeling so happy for him at the time actually. It must have meant so much to him temporarily proving the haters wrong.

But man he's just too inconsistent to continue with. Really lucky to have played this many tests with that record

Which is exactly Marsh's problem. If you didn't know any better you'd swear he was a gun, and is probably why he's still in the frame when other bats with a similar record would've been long since discarded.

Given our batting sucks, I can't believe Australia only have 6 recognized batsmen on this T20 tour. I guess this means Marsh guaranteed to play, however I would put him at 7

Marsh is pretty damn good at LOI cricket. He can easily bat 4-6.

Yeah he's consistently been good in ODIs even when batting like a clown in Tests; I don't it's "form" that made him have a bad series.

In other news there's a really good article on Zampa on cricket.com.au where he reveals he was told not to go overseas this winter but went anyway and how that helped his game and got him back into the international side.

Having watched Zampa a bit in the JLT I think he's the best LO spinner in the country by a decent margin. It's good to see him back in Australian colours.

Really great to see the major cricketing powers grow the game this way, a top team like the Aussies playing a competitive game against a minnow side will be a huge help when they play in the major tournaments like the WC.
