Actually we've done much better than I expected this series. Sure, we're copping a pounding here but we managed to draw the first test and had some good moments in this test.

The worst thing about this though is Khawaja getting injured. He was in line for a stats-padding 500 run series against India. Without him we might actually lose.

Mark Waugh has been great tbh. Not agreeing with the lame excuses put forward by lee or talking about the bowling one day one.

Who the hell were the six? Khawaja was great, but even then that was just one Test. Finch's series would've been great if he was 25 but there's just not enough development left in him for someone who's 32 (though overall I think he acquitted himself fairly well). Lyon was OK but underwhelmed. Paine was mostly pretty meh (though he did have one great innings). The rest.....

Nah, Brett lee was throwing a bunch of excuses around and Waugh just stated what we were all thinking here. They haven’t batted well enough, it’s been this way for a while and a number 11 batsmen would be disappointed with Shaun Marsh’s figures

Marnus and Head were OK-ish for a debut series but I still don't think they did particularly well. Generous to give them passes (even Paine for that matter)

Yeah, he resigned to take on the Fox job.

I think the big issue with him was that he'd pull the "I haven't seen him play" BS when he was a selector. That's probably less relevant now he's not, and obviously won't be a factor in internationals.

Yeah.....I mean I suppose given the Marsh's series and Khawaja's injury you can't really drop everyone, but he's not good enough at this point, even with all the absences.
