If Marshall is going to be one them at least half a dozen more have a case. Hadlee, Pollock, Dev, Imran, Miller who have all attained 600+ bowling points as seen in the list and they will all surely score higher than Marshall in batting.Probably someone unlikely we think of like Malcolm Marshall maybe?
Any system based purely on stats would have to rank Turner highly - 101 wkts in 17 tests @ 16 (4th best wkts/match of anyone that counts) and all against England who probably were a quality team at that time, even in bowler friendly conditions. It's 28 now with inclusion of Laker who I earlier missed out.
I doubt Spofforth and Turner can be ranked higher than Lohman. So other probables are Akhtar, Jadeja (!), Cowie. Unless I am missing someone very obvious.
Good guessCould be Shakib
Batting: 554What did Watson get? He was pretty good with both bat and ball for a while there.
Surprised it's that good, era adjustment notwithstanding.Non-Home Average/Strike-Rate/Points Per Innings: 33.14 78.42 3.80 (rank 99)
