Waiting to see if he gets some reverse. If he doesn't then he probably isn't cut out for these conditions, but his wrist and seam positions looked good for the conventional stuff even though he didn't get much, so he could be useful elsewhere.

But that counts as 'doing a whole lot wrong'. Being terrible isnt an excuse for batting terribly.

I mean it's not like it's a great lineup playing terribly. I wouldn't say they've played really offensive shots, they just aren't that good.

Pakistan has guys who've been running around for years with similar or better averages who've never gotten a chance. You never know what you've got till you try it (said principle being the reason why I hate the English 'we don't think we've alternatives so we'll try the failures again' approach).
