There’s a bit in this deck, but agree he’s definitely the real deal.Abbas is the real deal. These conditions are an absolute graveyard for quicks and he's killing it.
He looked OK. Don't think he's all that special though.Yup.
Anyone got an opinion on Hamza?
Waiting to see if he gets some reverse. If he doesn't then he probably isn't cut out for these conditions, but his wrist and seam positions looked good for the conventional stuff even though he didn't get much, so he could be useful elsewhere.Yup.

The little bit I watched he had a hard time controlling his line and length. He looked OK. Don't think he's all that special though.
But that counts as 'doing a whole lot wrong'. Being terrible isnt an excuse for batting terribly. What's annoying is that I don't think Australia did a whole lot wrong. If it was I could laugh at this but this is mostly great bowling and a poor batting lineup.
I mean it's not like it's a great lineup playing terribly. I wouldn't say they've played really offensive shots, they just aren't that good. But that counts as 'doing a whole lot wrong'. Being terrible isnt an excuse for batting terribly.
It's a little strange that he's already 28. Anyone know if he'd been ignored by the selectors or was he just not good enough until recently? There’s a bit in this deck, but agree he’s definitely the real deal.
His first class average is 20 after 84 matches. Looks like a missed selection. It's a little strange that he's already 28. Anyone know if he'd been ignored by the selectors or was he just not good enough until recently?
Pakistan has guys who've been running around for years with similar or better averages who've never gotten a chance. You never know what you've got till you try it (said principle being the reason why I hate the English 'we don't think we've alternatives so we'll try the failures again' approach). His first class average is 20 after 84 matches.
