Well done to India on getting through more than the bare minimum of overs in the day.
I haven't seen any footage (does anyone know where to watch in Europe / UK?).Anyone want to mention Hetmeyer's dismissal?
Catastrophically so.I haven't seen any footage (does anyone know where to watch in Europe / UK?).
According to cricinfo, he failed to read a wrong-un.
Luckily im away working in Berlin for a while otherwise I would be fuming. Sky Sports are ****ing s h i t e now they dont have Aus v Pakistan OR india v west Indies. It's not on sky or bt. Unless it's on one of them random asain channels then i don't think it's being televised over here
You are responding to my question as if I asked "was his selection vindicated in retrospect". I'm asking why he was selected, not if, with the benefit of hindsight, it was a good idea. He was a passenger in England and Ashwin and Jadeja have proved themselves time and time again to be more than enough spin at home. I sound rude here. Sorry, not the intention. Just asking a question.Because he’s taking wickets.
I haven't been paying any attention to this series. Why is Kuldeep playing?

Different conditions would explain almost all of it. A lot of the time there is room for 3 spinners in India. Where as he will struggle when even Jadeja and Ashwin may be competing for a single spot in England. Also i think the selectors are using these tests as auditions for Australia, as the selection of Thakur could be interpreted. India may be thinking they'll need another spin option in Australia in case Jadeja and Ashwin prove ineffective out here. Its a prudent concern though I don't think it will be an issue this time given the weakness of our batting. Kuldeep seems to be around the periphery of the squad. It would only take a change in circumstances to see him get into the team and I think the playing conditions and selectorial considerations currently favour his inclusion. It is vindicated. At the start of the series, would you have picked him though? Why?
