Pattinson ended up on 108, only playing as a batsman this round though. It's a shame, I was about 10 minutes away from the Karen Rolton Oval for most of today yet couldn't get down there.

I have long thought a fully fit Pattinson is the best fast bowler in the country by a fair way, such a shame that those occasions are few and far between.

Wasn't he averaging nearly 40 in County cricket last year? And 30s in the Shield too IIRC. I guess being injured so much really gave him time to work on his batting.

I remember before the Ashes last year everyone was on about how Aus could play 4 quicks + Lyon, which I still think would be unnecessary even if a keeper and Pattinson can bat at 6 or 7.
