But McGrath wasn't there in 92/93. Ambrose, Walsh and Bishop were. So Australia's attack upgraded and the West Indies attack down graded.

Because this is a statistical analysis purely based on numbers and not on reputation.

I agree with you on both statements.But if you look at Roberts stats his career points will be 60 or 61 and his quality points will be slightly fewer than Bishop.So i guess he will end up 740-741 points.

Still and all, a statistical analysis of the kind that DoG is doing is probably more 'correct' than subjective rankings;
less arbitrary and whimsical than one based purely on personal opinions and bias (Warne vs Murali, anyone?).

And who from the 95 series would McDermott had replaced to make the attack better?? Not McGrath, or reiffel and sure as the not warne. Maybe Julian I guess. But the gulf between bishop and the two benjamins that played in his stead was enormous
