They're half as good, in the sense that KL, Manish, Rayudu, and Jadhav are half as good, maybe more. But the different set of skills required are missing. Pant would do wonders for this line up (he said for the umpteenth time)

Man our top order has been on god mode. We don't need kohli and can carry all the ttfs in the world in our batting order if they play like this.

Pant can walk in to this side just as a specialist batsman.

Problem is his List A average.

I have never been a big fan of Manish Pandey. I prefer Rayudu, Jadhav and KL more.

They should have batted KL at 4 in the series.

I don't think India made good use of Asia Cup, apart from winning their games.

Plus I think a lefty will help them in the middle order. Pant is that investment they need to make for the future

As much as I agree with this we are still seeing how valuable dhoni and his game intelligence is. Not to mention even at his age hes a better keeper than Pant and karthik.
