Pujara played some good shots in that session. Even cracked a boundary off an Anderson delivery!

Well Stokes is playing as a batsman as he is unfit to bowl. Makes our side even more ridiculous.
So we knew this before the start? It's as bad as playing a batsman with a fractured finger. I'd look into any suspicious betting patterns around the St Johns Wood area.

I can see why Bairstow and Stokes have played only as batsman in this game. I mean they are only competing with Vince and Pope and I'd back Bairstow and Stokes to be better bats than either of them.

If they knew Stokes wasn't going to bowl though, I'd have preferred to see Rashid out and Porter in.

That's the point, isn't it. Without Stokes you need another seamer instead of two spinners.

Not convinced about Bairstow though. If they weren't prepared to trust Vince instead of an injured Bairstow, they shouldn't have picked him in the first place.

Stokes played as a batsman only in Durham's twenty20 quarter-final. Originally he was not going to play at all - we were told - only for that decision to be changed to batting only.

Kohli's had his fair share of luck this series, but tbf he's so good you can't really begrudge him it.

A lot of it down to English incompetence tbf, so there's no sympathy for them.

EDIT
not the plays and misses of course.
