Top knock from Abhi. He scored 44 against an Essex attack containing Jamie Porter and Simon Harmer so the kid can obviously bat.

So basically you're saying all tournaments suck?
Well no, idmif the test playing nations lose - they have enough money and large enough fanbases to have sustainable cricket as long as they run it well. Except Ireland maybe.

84/4, this isn't good. We're more than half way there but have lost all our best batsmen

Nepal slumping to a loss against UAE atm too. UAE have been seriously impressive, looks like they're finally getting their **** together and reaping all the benefits of having the ICC Academy + tons of turf pitches in the country.

37 to win, 5 in hand. We should win here but i'm still nervous. Singapore have played really well.

Malaysia have started well in their defence of 198, while it looks like UAE is going to pick up a very impressive win over Nepal

Not a bad effort with the ball even if we lose from here.
Our batting at ODI level has been very poor for a couple of years now. Before Babar/Anshy/Nizakat would score tons of runs to kind of paper over the cracks, but I think it was exposed at the Scotland/PNG series at home that outside of those 3 we don't really have a batting lineup. Tanwir Afzaal plays some excellent cameos time to time, but the rest just seem to chip in 5-20 runs and get out. Our batting cost us in the WCQs and two games into this tournament it still hasn't shown up.

Nepal slumping to a big loss to UAE right now - big result for UAE, and a bit of a worry for the newest ODI nation.

Oman vs Malaysia is a real low scoring thriller. Oman need 25 to win with 4 wickets and 34 balls in hand. I think Oman might edge it.

Even if Nepal win their next 3 it's going to be a struggle. Don't think anyone predicted this.

Third round of games now. HK batting first against UAE, and Singapore batting first against Oman

Really strong start by Singapore. Bit more quiet from HK.
