*Official* India Tour of England 2018

I'd almost say that Stokes' bowling is more useful than his batting in Tests these days, especially in England
I understand he's suffering from some niggle. I hope he doesn't fall away as a bowler, because he has the potential to be a legit great of the game. No glaring technical flaws in either discipline, and genuine X-factor to boot.

Six bowlers is overkill, no? If you're not sold on Stokes the bowler, then are you confident enough to play him as a batsman solely? At no.4 at that? Untested waters for him so high up.

EDIT: Sorry, that was directed at Gremlin and Nicholas' team.
They're happy enough to throw in a youngster who's never previously batted above 6 that high up and I'd rank Stokes ahead of him as a batsman

What's the status on Barstow's finger? Fit to bat?

I thought it would be Bairstow, Rashid and Jennings out (or Cook out if he can't play and Jennings retained), and Modern Curran and Vince in.
There is no if, Cook cannot play. Unless it is reported ICC pitch.

I really wish that people would stop flogging a dead horse over Cook... fine you've had your say. Some want him out, some want him in. Fair enough. But this droning is tiresome.

And I really wish this was starting today; need some good cricket, going into withdrawal.

Pretty sure we can talk as much as we like about it. If you’d like to talk about something interesting in order avoid such things then I’d be happy to chat! If not then let’s all continue going crazy until tomorrow morning when Joe wins another coin toss.

I still haven't understood why players are almost never unfit for IPL. BK and Bumrah played the whole season, didn't they?

Because you can play through a lot of injuries. If IPL is important to you then you'll play through it, and sit out a series that isn't as important to you.

I think Stokes has demonstrated he has the ability to bat the type of innings required of a number four in the last test match.

As for bowling, Stokes has a niggle reportedly so on that basis alone he may not get used, or only used very sparingly.

This might be the most English team I've ever seen. Four specialist batsmen, two spin bowling allrounders, two pace bowling allrounders, two wicket-keeper batsmen (albeit one injured and unable to keep) and a terribly frail opening partnership.

Nah I'm sniffing further Cook failures and a retirement around the corner. Has looked like shite except for that one innings for ages

India are pretty good at getting players out of a terrible patch tbf. Cook himself looked rubbish back in 2014 before he was dropped at Southampton.

Could this be the first Indian Test side to go unchanged under Kohli?

And what is it with putting your side out the day before the match?
