Longevity can just be mediocrity over a long period though, like Kapil Dev. It isn't an end to itself, and comes quite far down my list of bowling qualities.Yeah, that's why longevity is important.

After top 5, I really don't have a firm opinion on ranking of spinners. So this list is much more likely to change everyday than the one I submitted for fast bowlers.

Yes which is why it's important to balance both, and why Ryan Harris is ahead of Kapil, etc etc.Longevity can just be mediocrity over a long period though, like Kapil Dev. It isn't an end to itself, and comes quite far down my list of bowling qualities.
sig thislol ur wrong my rankings say so
Yeah, but that was specifically about the Underwood comparison tho.Yes which is why it's important to balance both, and why Ryan Harris is ahead of Kapil, etc etc.
Look I'm just shilling at this point in a thread that's clearly not actually about my rankings, and I definitely don't want to viriya up the place, especially since I absolutely do not think it's the be end and all (not yet anyway ). But if trundler's position is more or less "Herath doesn't look much but he got the job done and that's what's important", dismissing an entirely statistical analysis that has him ranked 16th as a spinner, apparently because it's not very good at rating players who did look much but whose Test records weren't any better than "very very good" under scrutiny for a number of reasons is bit like talking out of both sides of your mouth. If anything his rebuttal suggested it might have over-rated Herath.
My point wasn't "lol ur wrong my rankings say so"; it was that if my algorithm is good at anything it's measuring precisely what he said, and Herath still didn't come out looking like a millionaire even on that. Not that we should sneeze in the presence of a top-30 spinner of all time -- he should be celebrated for that -- but I don't think there's any real argument to be made for him being top 10.
Get over it. My rankings are amazing.sig this
It's got McGrath #1 so maybe you're onto something here.Get over it. My rankings is amazing.
You're letting your personal political dislike of them get in the way of your sense. My rankings would own it, their depth of information and recall is truly impressive. And just so we're clear they'd also own you on what is your field of study and what is a hobby for them.
Is this a (modified) copypasta?Get over it. My rankings is amazing.

It's actually slightly less modified than what OS made a copypasta in the first place. In the original Ikkinese:Is this a (modified) copypasta?

You see, I don't go in there. I can't possibly imagine why. It's actually slightly less modified than what OS made a copypasta in the first place. In the original Ikkinese:
